Kentdome announces the open beta of Add-In Central, a Windows Home Server (WHS) add-in and community-powered service designed to help users find and update WHS add-ins from within the Windows Home Server Console.
The WHS software allows users to browse for add-ins by category, keyword, or by community rated popularity. Summaries, screenshots, and documentation links are provided to aid in searching for new add-ins. Additionally, the application can automatically download add-ins to the home server and includes a streamlined installation process.
With the exploding popularity of the Windows Home Server platform, both new add-ins and updated add-ins are being introduced to the community on a near daily basis. Add-in Central helps keep track of them all by providing a list of newly released and newly updated add-ins in one location. Once an add-in has been installed on the home server, Add-in Central notifies the user whenever an update is available for an installed add-in.
